Karl Normanton is a RIBA Chartered Architect with over 15 years of professional experience. After graduating from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London and gaining experience at high profile practices in London and Hong Kong, Karl worked for a number of years in a collaborative partnership with a heritage and conservation specialist targeting planning sensitive projects often involving listed buildings. KLN Architecture was born out of this collaboration in 2019.
Appreciative of both rural and urban settings KLN Architecture encompasses context, our changing environment, traditional and modern technologies balanced with a pragmatic and design led approach to the client brief and setting. An approach is brought to projects rather than a style as every client is different and almost every site has unique characteristics.
As a small practice KLN work on residential and commercial projects with a wide range of consultants and contractors predominantly in the South East of England, but have also undertaken work regionally across the UK. Projects are tailored to the clients’ needs and aspirations whilst working hard to design within the clients’ budget. Karl is passionate about improving people’s quality of life through design and the sustainable improvement of their built environment.
